Our Havanese Family
When we fell in love with the Havanese Breed, we decided we would do
everything we could to raise exceptionally healthy, breed standard,
well rounded, cheerful, sound puppies. We
conduct our breeding program with loving care and attention to every
important detail.
Our puppies are raised in our house with constant love,
attention, and proper socialization, ensuring your puppy begins his
or her life with the foundation needed to be a wonderful companion.
We hope we can provide you with some new best friends that will
bring you many smiles for years to come.
Smile Havanese Puppy Health and Care
Our dogs eat the finest foods available and get lots of exercise
daily. We only breed dogs that have passed all of their health tests
required by the
Havanese Club of America. All OFA
certifications are
available to you.
- Our dogs’ eyes are examined annually for heritable cataracts
by a board certified veterinary ophthalmologist and registered
with the Canine Eye Registry Foundation (CERF) at Purdue
University.
- We check for patella luxation, (slipping of the kneecaps), our dogs are certified
"normal" by the Orthopedic Foundation for
Animals (OFA).
- Hearing is BAER tested, and certified "normal" in both ears.
- Hearts are monitored by a cardiologist and certified "normal"
with the OFA.
- Hips are X-rayed for hip dysplacia at 2 years of age and
certified with OFA.
Our Adoption Policies
We have only one to two litters per year. Your new puppy comes to
you with a complete veterinary check, dew claws removed, the first
set of puppy vaccines, an Avid Microchip with a pre-paid
registration (a $50.00 value), and a one year health guarantee.
Although most of our puppies are show quality and come from
champion lines, we require you to spay or neuter them at 6 months of
age to enjoy as your loved pet and companion.
